About Us
Our Story
Providence Church of Texas was established in 2006 with a vision to be a faithful gospel-centered church in Austin, TX. From our earliest days, we have been committed to the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Reformed Baptist tradition.
What began as a small group of believers gathering for worship and prayer has grown into a thriving community of faith. Throughout our history, we have remained committed to expository preaching, intentional discipleship, and meaningful fellowship.
Our Mission
Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through the faithful preaching of His Word, the administration of the sacraments, fervent prayer, and loving fellowship. We seek to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to build up the body of Christ.
Our Vision
We envision a church where every member is growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, where families are strengthened, where the lost are reached with the gospel, and where the community is served with compassion. We aim to be a beacon of biblical truth and Christ-like love in Austin and beyond.
Our Values
- Biblical Authority: We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, and it serves as our ultimate authority for faith and practice.
- Gospel Centrality: The good news of Jesus Christ — His life, death, and resurrection — is the heart of everything we do.
- Expository Preaching: We are committed to the faithful, verse-by-verse exposition of Scripture.
- Intentional Discipleship: We prioritize personal spiritual growth through mentoring, small groups, and accountability.
- Loving Community: We strive to be a welcoming community marked by genuine love, care, and hospitality.
