Remember the Story
While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. (Luke 24:15)
Two of Jesus' friends were walking down a road. They were very sad because Jesus had died. But then someone came and walked with them. It was Jesus! But they didn't know it was Him yet.
Question 1: When have you felt really sad?
Jesus' friends were sad because something happened that they didn't expect. When have you felt sad or disappointed?

Question 2: How does Jesus help us when we're sad?
The Bible says, 'The Lord is near to the broken hearted' (Psalm 34:18). That means Jesus comes close to us when we're sad. How do you think Jesus helps people who are sad?

Jesus' friends didn't understand who Jesus really was at first. Jesus helped them understand by teaching them from the Bible. Where can you learn more about Jesus?
