Story Time
Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me. — Matthew 18:5
Jesus told His friends something very special. He said, 'When you are kind to someone who loves Me, you are being kind to Me!' That means when we share a toy with a friend at church, or give someone a hug, or help someone — Jesus sees it! It makes Jesus so happy when we are kind to His friends.
Let's Move!
Stand up! Let's do the motions together:
- Point up high (Jesus is watching!)
- Hug yourself (Be kind!)
- Clap your hands (Jesus is happy!)
Now let's sing this little song together (to the tune of 'Twinkle, Twinkle'):
Jesus loves His friends so much, When we're kind with every touch! Share and help and hug today, Jesus sees us when we play!
Think About It
Does Jesus see when you are kind to your friends?
Yes! Jesus always sees!
Color and Remember
Draw a picture of you being kind to a friend. Maybe you are sharing a toy, or giving a hug, or helping someone. Remember: when you are kind to Jesus' friends, you are being kind to Jesus!
Parent note: Talk with your child this week about one way they can show kindness to a friend at church or home.
