Our Heart for Children
We believe children are a blessing from the Lord and deserve age-appropriate, biblically-grounded teaching that helps them understand God's love and truth. Our children's ministries are designed to partner with parents in raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”Proverbs 22:6 ESV
Nursery Ministry
For children from birth through age 2, there is an optional nursery during the Sunday school hour AND the 10:30AM service, and during the Sunday evening activities. The nursery is centrally located near the sanctuary and Sunday school rooms.
Our nursery is staffed by faithful volunteers who provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for our youngest members and visitors. Parents can participate in worship knowing their little ones are well cared for.
Children's Sunday School
Not settling for entertainment or babysitting, our Sunday school teachers impart biblical knowledge and emphasize Scripture memory. We use curriculum from The Gospel Project, the Baptist catechism, and other biblically faithful resources and each class is taught by a husband and wife team.
Our classes are presently ages 3 - Kindergarten, 1st-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade, and the youth class (7th-12th grade), promoting the first Sunday in August.
Age Groups
- Ages 3 - Kindergarten: Introduction to Bible stories and basic Christian truths
- 1st-3rd Grade: Building foundation of biblical knowledge and Scripture memory
- 4th-6th Grade: Deeper study of God's Word and Christian living
- Youth (7th-12th Grade): Advanced biblical studies and apologetics
Children's Church
The children (ages 3 through kindergarten) begin the 10:30AM service with us, but then have the option of going to children's church during the sermon time. There, a husband & wife team teach the children through The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name.
After the sermon, they rejoin us for the remainder of the service. This allows young children to receive age-appropriate biblical teaching while also participating in corporate worship with the church family.
Teaching Philosophy
We believe in the importance of systematic, biblical teaching for children. Our goal is not mere entertainment but genuine spiritual formation. We want children to know God's Word, understand the Gospel, and grow in their love for Jesus Christ.
All of our children's ministry leaders are committed Christians who understand the importance of modeling godly character and faithfully teaching God's truth to the next generation.
