Our Heart for Service
To minister means to serve. We are primarily serving God, but in doing so, we also serve people, those inside and outside our church family.
Below are some of the ways we serve God and others in order to carry out our mission, which is to glorify God by making disciples who love God and others.
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”Mark 10:45 ESV
Adult Sunday School
Join us for in-depth Bible study and fellowship every Sunday morning. Our adult Sunday school classes provide opportunities for spiritual growth, biblical learning, and meaningful fellowship with other believers.
We offer classes for various life stages and interests, all grounded in faithful exposition of God's Word and designed to help you grow in your relationship with Christ and understanding of Scripture.
Missions Ministry
In addition to supporting missions throughout the world as contributing members of the Cooperative Program of the SBC and SBTC and locally through the Collin Baptist Association, we also have a few mission endeavors that we personally support:
Andrew & Sophia Pitcher
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Andrew & Sophia Pitcher, with Wycliffe Bible Translators, are assigned to the Southern Africa Services Group (SOA), a regional group serving language communities in 18 countries and 120 languages in southern Africa.
Charles & Julie Woodrow
Grace Missions Ministries
The Woodrow Family is currently serving the Lord with Grace Missions Ministries in Mozambique, where Charles is a surgeon.
Men's Ministry
Our men's ministry focuses on encouraging Christian men to grow in godliness, biblical manhood, and faithful service to their families and church. Through regular gatherings, Bible study, and fellowship, men are equipped to lead with integrity.
Women's Ministry
The women's ministry at Providence Church seeks to encourage women in their faith, providing opportunities for Bible study, fellowship, and service. Our women gather to study God's Word and support one another in living out their calling as Christian women.
